A fantastic example of a proper reproduction. Very nicely printed, great quality, with no obvious scanning flaws. The original A1 map is incorporated into the book itself here, which is fine but of course not the same as having the proper pullout map.

The content of GAZ1 itself are about as good as it gets, as a DM resource. Karameikos serves as the centre-of-the-world for most BECMI Mystara campaigns, and is a highly versatile setting. A must-have resource.

This book came in pristine condition! Better than I expected.

A first timer purchasing through print on demand and it has exceeded all my expectations. I have owned an original copy of this module and the print on demand version is better in my view. I will definitely be buying more of these GAZs, reading them and adding them to my collection as they are a pleasure and treasure to read.

I didn't know much about Gazetteer but I'm glad I bought the first one. I hope the other Gazetteers are going to be as useful as this one. I will buy more in the future and review them accordingly.

If you're into BECMI then this book can help flesh out some of the Basic and Expert adventures you may have already purchased from Drivethru or you may own from the original TSR. Plus this book gives you a ton of information and ideas if you do your own adventures. I highly recomment it.

I'd rate this 5 stars if PODs came with foldout maps. As it is, this is a very good reprint of the legendary GAZ1, but the map being printed on several pages makes it slightly less useful. To make matters worse, the JPGs included in the ZIP file from the files in the digital version don't line up perfectly together, so printing each page of the hi-res JPG files separately will still not give you a 100% facsimile of the original. It's a shame.

So very pleased with this product. It took a week to recieve it but considering i live in UK and it was shipped from USA i feel that was a very good time and expected. Also it was well worth the wait. I have some of the original Gazetteers that i managed to collect when they were first released, but as i live in the UK it was never easy to get all products and i had to make do with what i could find available to buy. So now i have found your wonderful site i want to try to get as many products as i can afford to help complete my collection. The format is slightly different from the original but close enough that i treasure your products as much as the originals. Extremely happy withis this 1st Gazetteer and i will try to collect more from yourselves as soon as money allows me to. Thank you for taking such care in keeping such treasures alive.

Scan could be better . Campaign is not as cool as you might think , even considering that it is basically just Greyhawk 1.5

This is a great Gazeteer. It's a good addition to my Karameikos box set. The maps are disappointing. I don't know what it would take to include a separate map with the product.

I don't think the content needs any review from me. It's classic BECMI, well written and completely useful in any campaign set in Mystara. The print version was surprisingly good. I am impressed with the quality of the print and the binding. Looking at the previous comments it looks like POD comes and goes, but this was well worth the price and I didn't have to wait anywhere near as long as suggested for delivery.

Back in the day I was a huge fan of the Gazetteer series but lost most of mine in a move. I was super happy to see these books offered through OneBookShelf and immediately pounced on my two favourites in the series Gaz 1 (Karameikos) and Gaz 3 (Glantri).

The Grand Duchy Of Karameikos is a tremendous introduction to the Known World of D&D. The art is amazingly evocative and the layout is extremely user friendly and visually appealing. I purchased the POD version of the book and my copy is crisp and clear.

I highy recommend this book to any fans of the BECMI era of D&D and/or anyone looking for a campaign world that is deep and developed without feeling inherently tied to a lot of named characters in branded fiction.

This was a great read and so much more compelling a setting than the 2nd Ed AD&D adaptation. When I play in Mystara, I use this version. The characters are more three-dimensional, the ethnic tensions between Thyatians and Traladarans are more real, and the adventure hooks are groovy.

Good scan, good print excellent read.read.Though when delivered had a small tear on the top back cover. Other than that very pleased.

Fantastic pod! Cover and maps are all brilliant and clear too. Easily one of the best Gaztteers in the series. Get the pod, you wont regret it!
