I was lucky enough to playtest Olde Swords Reign and am now running a game as a GM. I absolutely love this, it's given me the ability to pick up any old school module and run it on the fly. Also, as it's based on the 5e rule set, you can use it in any VTT.

The group I'm running it for currently are all 5e players, who initially thought d4 HP for a thief was nuts but are really enjoying being adveturers instead of superheros. They're also falling in love with a 10ft pole. I think one of the best this Scott has done is using backgrounds to replace skills, making your character backstory more important that ever.

I'd really advise this for any GM looking to try an old school style of play with modern mechanics, it's super simple for new players or natural for those coming from 5e. Combat is fast, decisions matter and its a game where players have to think ways around situations instead of just looking at your character sheet.
