The rebirth of a legend! This book is an excellent anchor point for the Trinity Continuum series, providing an excellent core system for the even more amazing games Aeon and Aberrant (with Adventure! and more to come!)
The core system is incredibly solid. It is a bit more complex than most, so true RPG newbies will need to face a learning curve, but once mastered it is amazing at emulating Cineamatic Sci-Fi action-adventure, like the MCU and Star Wars.
The player option, Talents, are amazningly well rended. You could mistake them for normal humans, but they pack an incredibly strong punch under their decpetively mundane surface. Talents are great PCs and NPCs for all the TC settings and can be just as fun as the more overtly powered Novas and Psions.
If the book has a weak point, it's the setting. It isn't bad, but it's sparse. It presents the world basically as it is today, taking a breath between the pulp weirdness of Adventure! and the Superpowered epic of Aberrant. The factions are interesting, well detailed and provide great insight into how the world along in between the big Eras, but there simply just isn't a lot of meat on those bones. A big setting supplement would be great to flesh out whats here, but as it stands it is a great sandbox for modern-era action-adventure roleplay.
