A worthy spiritual successor to the original Guide to the Technocracy

This is one tough gritty book; I wasn't so sure about Hunters in the old World of Darkness setting but I find that I like the system this go around. For anyone that ever played a Mage: Technocracy game under the old setting it recaptures (for me) that X-File(ish) feel of hunting things that go bump in the night for the good of Humanity (cough the Masses cough).

This source book is just plain amazing. I love what White Wolf has done with their new system and in particular the overhaul of Changeling has just been incredible. The feel of the game and systems in place are interesting without being unwieldy or overly complex. In particular I like their addition of the Hedge which serves as a "umbra"-esque world of madness and dream which the Changelings must counterbalance with the more human lives they nostalgically wish to return to (but alas cannot).

I love this system; it has a great deal of flexibility and customization. For a game master that wants to create their own worlds it really is a wonderful system to work in. That being said it takes a great deal of work to take the open rules and use them to frame in your own world and a context for characters to exist in. Character creation rules for your games should be clearly defined. BESM is a point-buy creation system that resolves conflicts with an open ended 2d6 roll.
