T2000 v2 Twilight: 2000 2nd Edition Version 2.2

I just got my POD copy as a replacement for my long lost original. It's excellent. In fact, it's pretty difficult to tell that it is a POD rather than a superb condition original. The only issue is that a few of the pictures are a bit fuzzier than I remember. Also, some of the maps of Europe had red markings showing troop dispositions and boundries. My POD copy turnes these to black lines which makes seeing these marks very difficult. Otherwise though you're getting an excellent clone of the original that is WAAAAAYYYYYYY cheaper than grabbing an original copy from Ebay or Amazon.

I just got my POD and I have to say that I'm pleased with this product. Obviously it isn't as good as the original as it is a scan of a copy so the text appears to be a bit hazy, however it is still clear enough to read and is generally servicable as a resource. The color cover and the area map are nice, clear, and crisp. The other maps are fairly servicable with the usual problems of binding making the larger two page maps a challenge to read (the binding makes areas 53-57 on the cavern map hard to read) and the area map on page has some area numbers that are nearly impossible to read as opposed to just merely being hard to read in the original! To counter this I strongly suggest getting both the POD and the PDF as they do complement each other. For example, having the PDF to refer to does help with the map issues that I've mentioned in the POD as you can see the cavern map areas better and the white numbering on page 18 is a bit more visable in the PDF. Honestly, the PDF is the clearer document to read, however it just isn't as satisfying to me as having a physical product in my hand! Getting both helps each to cover the weakness of the other AND you can get both at a very reasonable price (even the shipping is quite fair!).

I highly recommend this product and I hope that DriveThru and Wizards continues to expand the range of AD&D POD products!

BattleTech: House Arano: The Aurigan Coalition

I really love this book. I got the POD and it's worth every penny. The printout is very clean and the colors are vibrant. Much of the art work comes from the video game and the print out did a great job capturing it. It's not perfect, but it is a lovely work. The book itself follows the format laid out by the 1980's House Books, but graphically it stands head and shoulders above them. It also includes a campaign that follows the actions of a mech company in service of House Arano with a company roster and scenarios. It also has a few mechs/spacecraft with sheets for them. I would LOVE to see the old House books get this treatment with the old fluff and lore left in, but with updated graphics, added scenarios, mechsheets, and RATs. However this book DOES have RATs for the inner sphere houses! The RATs cover mechs, vehicles, and aerospace assets for circa 3025 and it seems to match up with RATs I've seen in other products. That alone adds a LOT of value to this book.

D&D Rules Cyclopedia (Basic)

I ordered a PoD copy of this book and just got it Friday. I have to say it is an excellent book. All of the OD&D rules are here with most of the character classes so its a one stop for OD&D gaming. I am very impressed with the PoD itself. I ordered the hard copy in color and I definately got my money's worth on this purchase. The scan used is clean and crisp enough for regular gaming. The clearness of the print probably isn't as nice as an original copy but those books are few and far in between and command a steep price for a good condition copy. The PoD version is perfectly servicable and comes in at only a fraction of the cost of a good condition original. The only parts that appear blurry, at least to me, are the tables that appear from time to time in the text. However they are still quite legible and servicable. The PoD is in my opinion well worth the money spend!

If you've been sitting on the wall about getting this then I would recommend that you jump in especially with the Christmas in July sale going on. The 25% discount eats up most of the shipping which is a serious boon here. So go for it and grab this lovely gem because you'll be happy with the product.

Looks like a great copy so far. It's a scan of an original book, but it is very clear and easy to read so far.
