DM's Library Package

Can't believe they still never fixed the "mother of all encounter tables" that I mentioned in my previous review, and even personally emailed them about the errors. They've got various numbering errors. Such as the table that lists a roll as 095-034. Clearly it was supposed to be 095-134. However the next encounter line is 035 and it continues on that way up to the 000. So if you roll anything between 035 and 095 (001-1000) then there are multiple results. Fix/update this. After all this time and multiple notices that this happened, quit ignoring it and fix it, and update it!!!!

Thanks for the update. Now rather than just showing the same thing as the cover that is shown, it shows some samples of what can be done on the website.

A great book. A can't miss for anyone looking to add something different to their game. 3 new races and 8 new classes. The classes are for the most part variants on other classes. In a good way though. If you want to play a knight you have a better, more flavorful option here, than just say making a fighter and choosing the options you think a knight should have.

I primarily bought this, because it was recommended to me for the chase rules, and I was not disapointed. The chase rules are rather complex. That is a good thing as it covers any eventuality that could arise. But you can just use the parts that apply to your situation at the time. Players don't even need to know the chase rules at all. If they are involved in a chase, they just need to tell the GM what they want to do and the GM finds the manuever that fits.

DM Genie - Software for 3e RPGs

This is one of the greatest additions to D&D that I have ever seen. I have barely even started working with it and I am thrilled with exploring all it can do. It saves so much time on organizing a game. You can quickly roll up characters, encounters and treasure without having to flip through all the books or reference pages. The best part to me is how it is customizable. I can add my own monsters, magic items, classes, feats or whatever else, from other supplement source books or of my own invention. They will be added to the character options or in the case of treasure they will be added to the random list. I don't need to flip through books looking up their info, it is all right there. No need to make up new random charts for treasure generation when I want to add new items to the mix. It can pretty much do everything. I will probably continue to roll the physical dice myself because it is such a classic part of the game to me. However I can just leave all my books and dice at home and just take my laptop with DM Genie and run the whole campaign.
