The light from the dying candle reflected off of the officers back on to the woman's lifeless body. Runes scratched hurriedly into the floor gave a soft glow as the evidence team made their way around the room.

"I don't even know what language some of these are." The younger officer noted approaching the body as he flipped through stacks of loose documents. "Doesn't look like this is the first time something like this was tried either." He nodded toward the faded magical circles that littered the floor of the small home.

"This guy has been right under our noses this whole time." A grunt ended the veterans officer sentence as he used the edge of his portable data pad to roll the victims body over. "Doubt we will find anything to help just like the last-"

His sentence was cut short by a desperate gasp as the woman's skin flushed with life and her eyes flashed open and her body wrenched to its feet.

"I have seen it!" She shouted grabbing to the officers to balance herself. "We have to go! It's coming!"
