Scrapper: powered by 5e is a unique sci-fi setting for 5e, where players take the roles of scrappers - hardworking salvage engineers who crawl through dangerous wrecks looking for valuables to sell. Using unique classes and abilities, they explore the wrecks of the Old War from their bases in the Star Graves. From here, they launch upon missions to discover the mysteries of the ancient battles, while fighting other scrappers, robots, drones, different void creatures and all the other dangers of the 'Mos!

I really don't understand why so many publishers don't give anything on the previews.
The Full-size is a Character Sheet, the Quick is broken.

Yeah, that's because we are trying to include a character sheet with the book - there are three files and DPRPG won't let us select which file you preview from.

We've fixed it now - take a look! :)

Can you tell me what was updated? I read through this today and had seen some “Page X” place holders.

Also, the part about the sliding success for all classes baffles me. I see the ability to move the success for single for 14-17. Now double is 17-19 and that can be moved as well but even then the rule still says a double success is still 17-19 and not 16-19. This rule part does not make sense to me.

Also, the book talks about removing of “spells” but then the hectech programs mentions “casting”.

The book feels 90% there but needs more editing.

Nothing was updated, we were playing with the info to try and get the preview working on DTRPG.

Just use the scale as your character needs it. If your success range is 16-19 for a double, use that :) As the character levels, you'll see the changes in the success profile as it goes on.

So the example for moving the success scale is wrong in all examples? Every class has the same copy/paste blurb quoting the rules incorrectly.

Can you fix and update the book with this type of feedback before printing? There does need to be another editing review before you start printing these books with POD. Any reviewer will see these issues and the review score will reflect these bugs, typos, rule discrepencies, etc. There is some good ideas in this book as it feels Eclipse Phase -lite in settings mixed with Shipbreakers video game , and the art is beautiful. One more round of tweaks and you got a hit on your hands.

Also, is there an option to remove/mute the background or a PrinterFriendly version as i killed a black toner cartridge printing this book on grayscale and it was very hard to read.

Thanks for the positive comments - good to know we're almost there.

There are some behind the scenes issues which are slowing things down. But we appreciate what you're saying and we are going to make those changes when we come to making Print-on-Demand available to everyone.

Obviously that also means we'll be updating the .pdf copies at that time as well :)

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
