Are the Advanced Character Guide and Advanced Dungeon Guide (from 1.75) compatibles with the new Micro RPG-R: Core Rules Booklet ?

They are not, but the Micro RPG-R core has tips for possible conversions.

Please see page 65 and 68. Char Races. City Dwarfes and City Orcs. Both receive a sub-stat bonus of +5 STR. Is this really correct? +5 STR seems a lot to me, besides, STR is no sub-stat, but main stat. That is confusing.
Please explain. Cheers. Patrick

Patrick, not every hero gains a sub-stat, and yes. The +5 is correct.

Thank you Noah. I am sorry for bothering you once more, but I do not quite understand. The City Dwarf and Orc receive the +5 STR as a sub-stat, but since STR is a main stat, why did you not add that where you always added the (main) stat bonus, for instance where the + 1 CH for both characters is mentioned? But you added this the sub-stat section for a reason, which is not logical for me. On page 70 it is mentioned that only Health, Willpower, DMG and XP are the 4 sub-stats. Please forgive me if I think this in a too complicated why. There are no other characters which receive a main stat a a sub-stat. All others receive only Health, Willpower or DMG bonus.
I finally bought both add-ons, and I do not regret it. In fact, this is a very addicting game system. Hell is this good. Cheers. Patrick

Is there any planned errata for this book? The "d100" roll for the occupations table stops at 56. Either my book is not complete or the actual book itself isn't complete.

Nevermind...I missed the "reroll results above 56". That's rather sad, but I'm rather blind so it balances out. Looks like I'll just make a better table.

Hi, Noah.
I am thinking about upgreading from 1.0 to 1.75. I bought the 1.75 core a while back, but thought I might as well get the full experience, so got this PDF too.
I noticed what seems as an error on the d66 occupation table, starting on page 34.
There are listed the numbers 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60.
My easy fix is to roll d68, subtracting one from the d8, rerolling natural rolls of 8. It's a one time use anyway.
But if that could be fixed, that would be great, ok? ;)
I know you are busy with the Neon cash cow, and the whole home universe (by the way, Gay Realms is a BEAUTIFUL book), so if you like I could go look if there are mor small things before a possible update, as I likely do anyway.
It's a tiny thing, though. I'm just like this. None else seem to have noticed.

I've gone ahead and "fixed" this issue. It is now a D100 roll instead. Thanks for pointing this out.

Neon Roads does sell very well, but if I'm honest, fantasy is still my favorite thing to write and design.

The paperback and hardcover are already out on Amazon POD. I don't do POD through Drivethru.

"This is part 1 in the Advanced Rules series for Micro Chapbook RPG."

How many parts are there going to be? This is turning into an extremely expensive game with now at almost $40 for the basic fantasy + basic sci fi + advanced characters. How much is the complete Micro Chapbook RPG going to cost when complete and when do you estimate it will be finished? Additionally, it seems that it has grown well beyond being a "micro" game.

The "complete" game is the Micro Chapbook RPG Basic Edition Rulebook by itself, which is 9.99. That's it. Everything else are add-ons for more adventures. The Advanced books are, while part of the game, are NOT considered the base of the system. These bigger books are add-ons for those who want more crunch in their solo game. The Sci-Fi book as well is a complete game on its own. If you're looking to own the "complete collection" of the entire game series, well, I will always be writing new books and new adventures for the system for the foreseeable future. Also, the basic book adheres to the micro element of the system with super simple characters and game play that has been established for the system. I hope that clarifies. Thanks!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
