*Without classes or levels but with archetypes that speed character creation so play can start within minutes.

*A list of 120 monsters aids impromptu play. Great for both pickup games and extended campaign play.

*Requires only normal six-sided dice with options to use different die types or greater numbers of dice if desired.

Very interested in your game! Can you describe your implementation of the Open D6 engine? Are there differences? Do you have a website that discusses the game?

Also, is there a preview coming?

Thanks!

Thanks for the interest. It is a "Pay What You Want" product so it is very easy to see it directly if you want more detail, but I will explain some basics. I made changes because if people want a standard D6 classic version, the unmodified "D6 Fantasy" book is good already.

As it says on the cover the die mechanics follow the dice rolling style of the D6 "Legend" version as seen in DC Universe and Hercules & Xena. It does not have a single wild die in order to break up the tighter number curve of having a lot of dice. Every die is like the wild die for other D6 versions. A 1 eliminates a success. A roll of the highest result possible (i.e. 6 on a D6) explodes so you add and reroll as long as you roll the highest result on the die. This allows a lot more swing for fantasy but the 1s keep the numbers of successes from getting big and one sided. I have 1 to 3 fail and 4 to 6 succeed like some very popular implementations of D6 have that came out after I wrote the rough...See more

There was a preview at one point and I thought it was still there but the site might not have redone that with one of my file updates. I will look again soon. Thanks.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
