Nemetondevos: Revised

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Nemetondevos: Revised is a set of alternative rules for the Nemetondevos, originally found in Mysteries of the World: Scion Companion, drawing more heavily on historical and archeological details than the more heavily fictional image of the Pantheon found in official material. The book contains thirty six pages of historical details, expanded divine patron options, a more detailed Cosmology section, and revised mechanics for the Pantheon to use in your games of Scion Second Edition.

This project includes:

  • Revised entries and sets of Callings and Purviews for each of the divine patrons found in Mysteries of the World.
  • Seven new divine patrons to expand the options for your Players: Arduinna, Ataecina, Bussuriginos, Brigantia, Mabon, Ollodius, and Sucellos.
  • An opening chapter covering eight important topics for the use of the Nemetondevos in your games, or playing a Scion of the Nemetondevos, including discussions of the status of women, gender and sexuality, how to deal with the relationship with the Túatha Dé, and other materials to help depict these destroyed peoples respectfully.
  • Theorized Underworlds and Overworlds that Scions hypothesized to exist based on fragmentary information.
  • A complete Pantheon Relationship section detailing the Nemetondevos' relationship with all officially published Pantheons, and several other fan favorites.
  • A fully revised Pantheon Specific Purview, Motif, and two new Virtues for the Pantheon: Hegemony and Tribalism.
  • A revised version of the Druid Path found in Mysteries of the World.

Compatidable with Scion Second Edition, and requires the use of Scion: Origin from Onyx Path Publishing, while Scion: Hero and Mysteries of the World: Scion Companion greatly benefit.

Scion is a game about history whether we play it up or not in our game and Nemetondevos: Revised gives us that context we desperately needed for "the newly revived Gaulish Pantheon" Onyx Path introduced the Mysteries of the World supplement. [...]

The main thing that strikes me about this book - which is absolutley sublime, and would easily be worth whatever amount of money the author asked for it - is how well it leans into the unknowable aspects of the Nemetondevos. Mysteries of the World cite [...]

If you are playing a game featuring the Nemetondevos, you should absolutly get this. I can't empthize how much I prefer this to the official version, it's so much more accurate and fun, with a PSP that doesn't have an innate power that [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
