Shadow of the Beanstalk Genesys Character Sheet (Form Fill, Dice Pools)

The Genesys Character sheet for the Android setting, Shadow of the Beanstalk, form fillable with dice pool calculations. Most graphics are vector, meaning it maintains image quality at high resolutions, keeping the quality high and the file size small. Only the Foundry logo and the dice pool images are raster.

Notes on use: Due to which events are available in PDF javascript, the dice pools will not update when a characteristic is changed, but rather after clicking off of that number. Also, when printing, be sure not to print page 5 unless you really just like legal text. Please only use Adobe Acrobat to use this file. Other PDF clients have shown unpredictable behavior due to their PDF javascript support not being the same as Adobe's. Most of the text fields are set as Rich Text rather than auto font sizing. This lets you copy/paste pre-formated text from another editor such as Word to control exactly how it appears. Formatting this way includes font size, bolding, italics, color, font, etc. This gives you the ability to have Genesys symbols in the text if you have an appropriate Genesys font installed.

Shadow of the Beanstalk, Genesys Core Rulebook, and either Genesys Dice or the Genesys Dice App are required to use this product.

I really like this sheet, the dice pool display makes the skills much more readable than the version I was using before.
Unfortunately when trying to fill it in on Chrome only the first skill rank box ever shows as filled in, and in Acrobat none of them do. The dice pools are still built out properly, there's just no way to see the actual number of ranks. Any possible fix for this?

I can't reproduce this issue, so I'm not sure how to fix it. In Acrobat its working fine for me and others have confirmed for me. Other PDF readers may not implement the full, if any, of the Javascript functionality. This likely will only work correctly on a desktop since mobile PDF implementations are frequently incomplete. Also, make sure you have a recent version of Acrobat reader. Lastly, I have also tested with the Foxit PDF reader and it seems to support all the Javascript functions I'm using.

Hey, thanks for responding. I don't know what happened, but I redownloaded the sheet and it works fine now.

This is excellent and super useful. I wonder, would an A4 version be practical in future? Here in Australia we don't use weird us paper sizes and so when printed, the sheet has big white borders.

Interesting. I did not know that. Makes sense though. I'll look into it, but no promises. The change to the available size will likely result in needing to rearrange a lot of the elements.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
