I'm sorry, but I think the file I got when I bought this was "Werewolf the Savage Age: Volume 1". The file name is correct, but it's 105 pages long and the text and the pictures is wrong... should I attach it here, just in case you don't believe me?

Fabian. Please try again and let me know if the problem exists. There was a mixup with the files.

The bonus is you now own War of Rage Vol 1 as well. Enjoy!

Problem solved!

Thanks a lot!

So far, I have liked a lot what I have read... Do you need any additional writers? Any chance of working with you? Adding material on other Fera or anything else?

Hi. I bought Khara and I look forward to reading it, but I want to mention there are formatting problems with my copy. The front cover is missing. Also on many interior pages the black page border is misaligned with the page and text, sometimes covering up a line of text.

I'm hoping this can be fixed like "errata" and the fixed version made available to earlier purchasers, please? I hope Storytellers Vault allows doing that.

Let me look at it in the next few days. Khara needs an update anyways to bring the rules in line with Vol 1 and 2 of the Savage Age. Stay tuned.

Ellen - I am sorry you are still having problems with the file. Have you tried to download a new file? I checked our master file and it is okay... and we havent had similar complaints... so it may be a DriveThru thing. If that is the case, you may need to contact their customer service.

Thanks, Christopher. You must have replied while I was deleting that comment; I did find the new download and it did fix the problem I was having, so everything is fine now. :)

Is this congruent with the Khara as depicted in CB20 and Shattered Dreams, or is it a different version of them?

Tribebook: Khara is largely in line with CB:20 in terms of mechanics. There wasn't a lot detailed about the character-side of the Khara in any of the canon books, but what was there we took as a jumping off point. When I wrote the book I researched what already existed in CB:20 and Shattered Dreams and focused on not abrogating any of the previous information. Instead, I expanded upon it and tweaked it a bit.

For example. Shattered Dreams puts the Khara in a conflict with the Garou in Europe. That is problematic since there were no Smilodons in Europe. There //were// dagger-toothed cats related to Smilodon in Europe at one point. So, Tribebook: Khara expands the kin of the Khara to cover not only Smilodons, but other similar large prehistoric cats and then works to reconcile the background.

That's interesting. I had taken the conflict in Europe to mean that the Khara were Homotherium-only, since I couldn't imagine them being two separate genera of cats.
I'll definitely buy this one.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
