Anyone ever tell you that you have one of those faces? The kind that seems to pop up everywhere, that feels uncannily familiar? There’s a reason: there are lots of people out there who share your face. They share your DNA too. Genetic doubles. Manufactured humans. Clones. You don’t know precisely how many are out there, but you’re in contact with a couple. And the corp that made you, cooked you up in a lab for their own purposes, knows you know. They’re watching you. But maybe, just maybe, if you work together with all your doubles, you can find a way to make a life in the sprawl. Might be for all of you. Might just be for you.

---

The CLONE is a playbook for The Sprawl by Hamish Cameron. It is inspired by the television series Orphan Black created by Graeme Manson and John Fawcett, starring Tatiana Maslany.

The CLONE discovers a web of genetic doubles of themselves across the sprawl, and uses their connections to go undercover, discover intel, and sabotage the corp that made them. Will they find their freedom, or will the corp get what they want after all?

This is not a complete game and requires a copy of The Sprawl to play.

Warning: The CLONE playbook's core move affects all players at the table, and may warp the game feel all about the clone player. Only use this playbook with the agreement of all players.

I respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri people and the Boon Wurrung / Bunurong people of the Kulin Nations as the traditional owners of the land on which the majority of my work takes place. I pay respects to elders past and present. Sovereignty was never ceded.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
