DELTA WORLD:  EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED.

SURVIVE AND THRIVE IN A POST-APOCALYPTIC WORLD OF MUTANTS, ANDROIDS, CYBORGS, ROBOTS, AND HIGH TECHNOLOGY!

Delta World is a wild and sparsely populated future Earth.  It is 150 years after The Great Catastrophe, an apocalyptic global war that resulted in the complete destruction of civilized society.  The environmental contamination from chemical, biological and radiological warfare has resulted in a world of mutated beings: animals, humanoids, plants, and others.

Now, finally, the small communities of intelligent beings that have survived are beginning to claw back from the depths of technological ignorance.  Their numbers are expanding, and they strive to create new civilizations once again.  You are one of these intelligent beings.  You live in a world that has been reclaimed by nature, where overgrown ruins can be exploited for the vast technology once mastered by the Ancient Ones.  With luck, you and your companions can find these ancient ruins and scavenge the materials, equipment, and technology that you need to continue to advance.  But the world is dangerous, unexplored, and treacherous.  Can you survive?

Compatible with the Pathfinder® Roleplaying Game First Edition and the Open Game License 3.5 system rules, Delta World creates a post-apocalyptic, science fantasy expansion with a crisp gameplay experience and an old-school RPG feel.

The Delta World Core Guidebook includes:

• All player and game master rules in a single volume.

• Complete rules for mutated and engineered character races, including mutated humanoids, mutated animals, mutated plants, androids, sentient robots, and cyborgs.

• Expanded rules for mutations, cybernetic implants, and technological augmentations.

• New feats, skills, equipment, and gear suitable for the post-apocalyptic science fantasy setting.

• Enhanced rules and gaming aids for sandbox exploration.

• Expanded rules for interacting with, repairing, and salvaging valuable materials from technological items.

• New gaming aids for playing Delta World in a virtual tabletop environment, including rollable tables and high-quality pre-generated maps.

• And much more!

Come in, explore, and create YOUR Delta World!

This revised and updated second printing adds the following:

  • High quality art and graphics!  Did you wonder what a Gallus 3846 looked like?  How about a Madger or Rabbiz?  High quality art by Todd M. Ulrich for these quintessential Delta World creatures, plus plenty of art by Dean Spencer and others, all newly included!
  • A new Delta World playable class – The Sakmacker!  Ideally suited for repairing and scavenging technological items and hacking into computers, robots, and artificial intelligences!
  • A new Coding skill for hacking computer systems and other binary language systems!
  • A greatly expanded equipment chapter, now with more OGL items and new Delta World equipment all in one place for easy reference!  Includes tables and descriptions for high tech armor and melee weapons, vehicles, explosives, pharmaceuticals, cybertechnology, cybernetic implants, and technological gear!

Two questions
1) what size are the printed versions?
2) is this a complete 5E game or do I need the SRD or PHB to play

Hello Thomas,
1) The printed versions are 8.5" x 11".
2) Note that this version you commented on is for Pathfinder 1E/3,5 OGL. We do have a version for 5E, check out our DTRPG page and go to our 5E Rules section (Delta World for 5E rulebooks have Green Delta World logos). Once you have that, you'll need the SRD to play.

Thanks for your interest in Delta World!

I've played this twice now, although we haven't completed a campaign yet. It reminds me of the old Gamma World by TSR. It's kinda cool to have a character which is all technology based be able to be a sorcerer! Clarke's third law is totally applicable: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”. If you're into sci-fi genre, this overlay of the Pathfinder rule set is a cool expansion.

Not a review, but for those interested here are some details: the book is not really a self-contained rules system, it's just a supplement for Pathfinder (and with some modification 3.5) that provides some rules on reskinning your fantasy game to have sci fi/post-apoc elements, and is not a complete ruleset. If you are not looking for a way to add some post-apoc spice to your Tengu and Aasimar this is it, but if you did not expect a long list of fantasy races tweaked for some scifi elements, this may not work for you. No unique classes for the setting. No art in the book (none! Though there are some nice maps you could use) but the format is clean and readable.

I'm not sure it's worth $10 (imo) but it may prove useful to PF1E players who are looking for some content to add some cybernetics and mutations to their game, but this is definitely not a stand alone rulebook, and has way too many fantasy elements integrated to constitute true SF or post-apoc in feel. I think everything here is already available...See more

Pathfinder and 3.5 are definitely not OSR.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
